Put support tickets on the CRM contact
Zendesk and Freshdesk tickets add notes to the customer in HubSpot or Zoho CRM.
- Time:
- 10 minutes
- Plan:
- Free. Free covers one help desk. A Pro project adds more sources (up to 10).
- Status:
- Beta
- Code:
- None
Beta: tested against sample payloads, not yet verified on a live account.
zendesk → support.ticket.* → hubspot: add a note
The problem
An account manager visits a customer and does not know about the three open complaints.
What you get
- Opened, updated and solved tickets show on the CRM contact.
- Optional Slack message for each new ticket from a key account.
Steps
- 1
Add your help desk as a source
In your project, go to Sources, click Add source, pick A business tool and choose Zendesk or Freshdesk. Free covers one help desk. A Pro project adds more sources (up to 10). Create a webhook in the help desk with the URL that Hooksnode shows. For Zendesk, paste its webhook signing secret into Hooksnode. For Freshdesk, add ?token= and the token that Hooksnode makes to the URL.
- 2
Connect HubSpot
Open your workspace and go to Connections. Find HubSpot and click Connect. Sign in with HubSpot, or connect Zoho CRM. Hooksnode keeps the keys and tokens encrypted. Members can see that the connection exists, but not its secrets.
- 3
Add the note action
Go to Destinations and click Run a tool action. Pick HubSpot and Add a note. Set the event types to:
support.ticket.*
Tips
- Add a filter on the customer email domain to post only key account tickets to Slack.
- Tickets also appear on the Hooksnode customer timeline.
