Record bank transfers in Zoho Books from bank alert emails
Your bank sends an email for each credit. Hooksnode reads it and records the payment in your books.

Beta: tested against sample payloads, not yet verified on a live account. Recording a payment writes to your books, so try a test company first.

The problem
Many customers pay by direct bank transfer. Nigerian banks do not send webhooks, so someone reads alert emails and matches each one to an invoice.
What you get
- Each credit alert becomes a payment.received event with amount, reference and payer.
- The payment is recorded against the open invoice in Zoho Books, QuickBooks or Odoo.
- Only alerts from verified bank senders (DMARC or DKIM) count.

Connect the inbox that gets bank alerts
Mail sources need a Pro project. A Free project has no mail sources. In your project, go to Sources, click Add source and pick Gmail, Outlook or IMAP mailbox. Sign in to the mailbox that receives your bank alerts.

Turn on bank alerts as payment events
In the source settings, set Bank alerts to "Payment events only". Hooksnode then sends each credit as payment.received and each debit as transfer.completed. Other email is dropped.

Connect Zoho Books
Open your workspace and go to Connections. Find Zoho Books and click Connect. Sign in with Zoho. Hooksnode finds your data centre and organisation. Hooksnode keeps the keys and tokens encrypted. Members can see that the connection exists, but not its secrets.

Add the recipe
Go to Destinations, click Use a recipe and pick "Paid, then booked in Zoho Books". For QuickBooks or Odoo, pick their recipe. Enter the deposit account id and click Add recipe.
Tips
- Amounts are in kobo (minor units), so no rounding error enters your books.
- When the rules cannot read an alert, you can let an AI model try. Hooksnode checks every value it returns against the email.
- Use the "Email and bank event" mode if you also want the raw email events.
