Add Shopify and WooCommerce buyers to your CRM
Each new store customer becomes a contact in HubSpot, Zoho CRM or Odoo.
- Time:
- 10 minutes
- Plan:
- Free. Free covers one store. A Pro project adds more sources (up to 10).
- Status:
- Beta
- Code:
- None
Beta: tested against sample payloads, not yet verified on a live account.
shopify → party.customer.* → hubspot: create or update a contact
The problem
Your store has customers that your CRM does not know. Marketing exports a CSV each month, and the lists never match.
What you get
- New and changed store customers are created or updated in the CRM.
- Orders arrive as sales.order.placed, sales.order.paid and sales.order.fulfilled events.
- Contacts are updated, not duplicated.
Steps
- 1
Add your store as a source
In your project, go to Sources, click Add source, pick A business tool and choose Shopify or WooCommerce. Free covers one store. A Pro project adds more sources (up to 10). Copy the webhook URL into the store webhook settings. Paste the store webhook secret into Hooksnode.
- 2
Connect HubSpot
Open your workspace and go to Connections. Find HubSpot and click Connect. Sign in with HubSpot. You can also use Zoho CRM or Odoo. Hooksnode keeps the keys and tokens encrypted. Members can see that the connection exists, but not its secrets.
- 3
Add the contact action
Go to Destinations and click Run a tool action. Pick HubSpot and Create or update a contact. Set the event types to:
party.customer.*
Tips
- Send sales.order.paid to QuickBooks or Zoho Books to keep the books in step with the store.
- Send sales.order.fulfilled to Termii or WhatsApp to tell the customer the order is on its way.
